What We Believe

You can find our church membership covenant and statement of faith in the dropdown menu above. A summary of what we as a church believe is here:

We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired, and that it is the only sufficient and perfect rule of faith, and practices.

We believe that there is only one God, who is revealed to us in three ways: God is the Father and Creator, God is also revealed as the Son, Jesus Christ, and God is also revealed as the Spirit, the Sustainer of life.

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith. Salvation is a life-long process, beginning with repentance in which we daily die to self, share the sufferings of Christ on behalf of the world, and grow in grace, striving after agape love as shown by Christ on the Cross. We believe that Christians are often tempted, and always sinners in need of mercy. While God is ever willing to forgive, and final judgment is His alone, we question the faith of any who persist in sin without remorse or an attempt to change their evil ways. We shall pray for them, seeking to reclaim them for God, yet knowing that the decision for or against Christ is theirs to make in the end.

We believe that the Scriptures teach that a visible church of Christ is a congregation of regenerate believers, associated by covenant in the faith and unity of the Gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ governed by His laws; exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word.
